While Funimation Films is handling the North American distribution of the Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic film, Madman Entertainment is handling it in Australia through the festival circuit. With the first screening coming up as part of the Madman Anime Festival Brisbane on June 11th, 2017, they’ve now brought out the first trailer for it with English subtitles so that fans can get their tickets.
A follow-up to the Black Butler: Book of Murder arc, Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic is directed by Noriyuki Abe (“Black Butler: Book of Circus,” Black Butler: Book of Murder,” “Yu Yu Hakusho” and “Bleach”) and produced by A-1 Pictures (“Black Butler,” “Sword Art Online,” “Fairy Tail” and “Blue Exorcist”) and features character design from “Black Butler” designer Minako Shiba.
“Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic” is based on the New York Times best-selling “Black Butler” manga series from Yen Press which has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide to date. Run time for the movie is 90 minutes. The film is rated TV-14.
Plot concept: Ciel Phantomhive and his demonic butler, Sebastian, are back! And this next case has Ciel and Sebastian treading some rough waters. Aboard the luxury liner Campania, the two investigate an illegal human experiment that involves resurrecting the dead. But the closer they get to the truth, the closer they are to their own deaths! Will this be their final case or will one hell of a butler keep them afloat?
