‘Aho Girl’ Anime Adaptation Delivers First Promo

1 min read

Aho Girls VisualWe learned back in February that the summer season was going to get interesting with the announcement of an anime adaptation of the Aho Girl manga from Hiroyuki. The official YouTube channel for it has gone live and dropped an unlisted promo on it through the official site that gives us a look at the character designs for it, but not any actual animation.

The series has set Keizou Kusakawa as the general director with Shingo Tamaki handling direction. Series composition comes from Takashi Aoshima with character designs by Masakazu Ishikawa. Diomedia is on board to anime the project.

The manga comes from Hiroyuki and began back in November 2012 with eight volumes published so far. The manga was picked up by Kodansha Comics USA with the first volume set to be published in June 2017.

Plot concept: This 4-koma style manga features Yoshiko, a genuinely stupid girl (she can even manage to get all 0′s on multiple choice tests). She hangs out at school with her childhood friend, who she claims to like, and he has to put up with all her ridiculous behavior!
