Hybrid Heart Volume 1 CoverFans of the fun recent anime adaptation of Hybrid × Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia will be glad to know more adventures are on the way as Yen Press has picked up the rights to the manga adaptation of the light novel series. The original novel series by Masamune Kuji began back in February 2014 and has quickly done well with ten volumes out. The manga adaptation that Yen Press has picked up kicked off in the summer of 2015 and has two volumes released so far with Riku Ayakawa bringing the story to life.

The TV anime series is being directed by Hiroyuki Furukawa based on the scripts coming from Yasutomo Yamada. KanaMiyai is serving as the character designer for the series and it’s being produced at Production IMS. Keita Hagino, Yousuke Itou, Kana Miyai and Kazua Moramae are working as the chief animation directors for the show.

The opening theme song is miele paradisio from Iori Nomizu.

The cast includes Ayaka Kimura, Hikaru Isshiki, Ichigo Momoi, Rino Kawashima, Kenji Akabane as Kizuna Hida, Akari Kageyama as Aine Chidorigafuchi, Juri Nagatsuma as Hayuru Himekawa, Chinatsu Akasaki as Julicia Farandole, Rika Kinugawa as Reiri Hida, Hina Kino as Silvia Silkcut, Iori Nomizu as Kei Shikina and Kazusa Aranami as Momo Kurumizawa.

Plot concept: Hida Kizuna possesses the HHG (Heart Hybrid Gear) ability, but it is not strong enough to make him particularly important. His older sister calls him to transfer to a strategic defense school, where many of the students (many of which are large-breasted girls) use their HHG abilities to fight invaders from another world while wearing extremely skimpy pilot outfits. Kizuna’s fighting ability doesn’t measure up, but his sister has another plan; getting the girls to have erotic experiences with Kizuna, so that it will allow them to replenish their energy or power-up. It looks like his new school life is going to be full of embarrassment!
