Piacevole shifts gears with this episode as there’s a festival in town and that has the restaurant closed so they can run a booth there. It’s smart business to try and draw in people who may not try things otherwise and the early montage of foods to try really is a delight. Though we get mildly sidetracked after that, the fun of seeing the different aspects of the festival and vendors and the non-restaurant characters all showing up more than makes up for it. The dynamics and interactions between the characters have grown nicely, even if they are still mostly superficial, The cuteness is pushed into overdrive with a silly food competition toward the end but it’s pretty forgettable overall.
In Summary:
Piacevole keeps things simple this time around and builds upon what’s come before and it works well to further cement the main cast. What helps to make it a bit more appealing is something as simple as the colorful festival backgrounds as it really does manage to give it a lot of life and fun. The interactions are cute and the silly moments are certainly silly, making the whole thing a nice diversion from the usual material we’ve been getting to date.
