The latest manga rankings have arrived out of Japan along with light novel sales for the week ending March 12th, 2017. This week is one that’s more than mostly made up of second-week sales for the manga side with only a couple of new titles charting in the top ten. That has the latest Prison School ranks highest at number three with Ancient Magus’ Bride clocking in at fifth while Blue Giant lands at eighth. The second-week sales are good for Haikyu and Food Wars and a few others that essentially double their first week sales.
On the light novel side, Sword Art Online Alternative takes the top spot with its sixth volume while the latest volume of the main series holds onto the chart easily with another 14,000 units to bring it up to 241,000 units. There aren’t any series making big strides thanks to anime adaptations, such as what we saw with Re: Zero last year, but a lot of tiles are moving along with their expectatiotns.
