At a pre-screening event for the new Hozoku no Reitetsu OVA that’s out on March 23rd, 2017, it was revealed that a second season for the show has been scheduled with plans for a fall debut.
The new season will be bringing back the team that includes Hiro Kaburaki as the chief director working with Kazuhiro Yoenda as the hands-on director, who will be working off of the scripts by Midori Gotou. Hirotaka Kato returns as the character designer and chief animation director with the work being produced at Studio Deen this time once again.
The Japanese cast includes Hiroki Yasumoto as Hōzuki, Atsumi Tanezaki as Karashi, Daisuke Hirakawa as Momotaro, Eri Kitamura as Okō, Hiroki Gotou as Kakisuke, Koji Yusa as Hakutaku, Sumire Uesaka as Peach Maki, Takashi Matsuyama as Rurio, Takashi Nagasako as Enma Daiō, Tetsuya Kakihara as Karauri, Touko Aoyama as Nasubi and Yumiko Kobayashi as Shiro.
Series concept: Hozuki is the aide to the Great King Enma. Calm and super-sadistic, Hozuki tries to resolve the various problems in Hell, including a rampaging Momotaro and his companions. However, he also likes spending his free time on his hobbies, such as fawning over cute animals and raising ‘Goldfish Flowers.’
