The winter 2017 anime season series Masamune-kun’s Revenge is moving right along as a preview for the next episode has arrived. The tenth episode of the series is scheduled for a March 10th, 2017 debut where it’s being simulcast by Crunchyroll with it open to members worldwide outside of Asia. The show is also getting an English language SimulDub through Funimation on their site.
The series will be directed by Mirai Minato based on the series composition from Michiko Yokote. Yokote is working on the scripts with Kento Shimoyama while Yuki Sawairi is handling the character designs. The show is being animated by Silver Link.
The Japanese cast previously announced Ayaka Ohashi as Aki Adagaki, Inori Minase as Yoshino Koiwai, Yui Ogura as Kinue Hayase, Asuka Oogame as Chinatsu Hayase, Mariya Ise as Sonoka Kaneko, Kanae Itou as Kikune Kiba and Satomi Sato as Mari Mizuno
The series began back in 2012 from writer Takeoka Hazuki and artist Tiv and it’s moved right along with a few volumes worth of material through Comix Rex.
Plot concept: “I’ve returned to this town for revenge!” Eight years ago, Makabe Masamune, a weak and chubby boy, was harshly rejected by the beautiful Adagaki Aki. Now, he’s lost a ton of weight, changed his name, and returned as a handsome teenage boy… all to make the “Brutal Princess” Aki fall in love with him so that he can reject her just as harshly as she did.
