Yugioh Dark Side of DimensionsAdd another territory that will be getting the Yu☆Gi☆Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions film for release as Madman Entertainment has acquired and formalized a release for it. The 130 minute feature film will debut in Australia on June 7th, 2017 as a DVD-only release in English priced at $24.95. It’s not listing any extras for it as of this writing.

The film debuted in theaters in Japan back on April 23rd, 2016 and is now scheduled for a March 8th, 2017 Japanese home video release. The film will arrive there on DVD there for 5,800 yen, Blu-ray for 6,800 yen, and a limited edition DVD/Blu-ray for 18,000 yen. The regular editions will come with a card, a booklet, some special manga, and promotional videos. The limited edition will also come with a keychain, a figure, a t-shirt, and an audio commentary with the cast.

The feature has Kazuki Takahashi serving as character designer and executive producer while also working on the script, keeping the original creator pretty close to the project in a good way, while Takahiro Kagami is on board as the chief animation director and character designer.

Plot concept: The stakes have never been higher; the rivalries never as fierce; the risks never so great. One wrong move—one card short—and it’s game over for good. A decade in the making, Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions features new designs and an all-new story from the original creator of the global phenomenon, Kazuki Takahashi. His masterful tale features anime’s most beloved characters in their long-awaited return: Yugi Muto, Seto Kaiba, and their faithful friends Joey Wheeler, Tristan Taylor Téa Gardner, and Bakura. It’s the most highly anticipated re-YU-nion ever!
