It’s been a bit since we had the 2014 anime series Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers and it’s hard to imagine Marvel and Disney leaving Japan without much in the way of some original works these days since the live-action movies continue to do well there. A new series is now on schedule for this summer with Marvel Future Avengers, which will be a part of the broadcast satellite channel Dlife when it arrives. No details about the production or cast have been reveale yet.
A manga version will complement that’s kicking off about now in Coro Coro Comics Special from Teruaki Mizuno.
Plot concept: The series will follow Makoto, a young boy who gains superpowers due to an evil gene manipulation experiment. Makoto and other youths join the Avengers as apprentices named “Future Avengers.” The anime will show Makoto and others as they train, fight villains and grow, under Avengers members Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Wasp
