Two New ‘March comes in like a lion’ Live-Action Feature Trailers Arrive

march-comes-in-like-a-lion-film-posterWith the anime adaptation of the manga March comes in like a lion moving into its second half, the push is now on to start marketing the first of two live-action films that are coming. The official site has now brought out trailers for the two films where their respective theme songs are given the main push. The first film is scheduled for a March 18th, 2017 debut and the second on April 22nd, 2016, making for a very good way to get the whole story of this adaptation in quick order.

The anime series has Akiyuki Shinbou directing it at Shaft with Nobuhiro Sugiyama as the character designer, Yasuhiro Nakura working on the art setting with Seiki Tamura as art director while Toshiki Kameyama worked on sound direction. Yukari Hashimoto is handling the music for the series. It’s cast includes Nobuhiko Okamoto as Harunobu Nikaido, Kengo Kawanishi as Rei Kiriyama, Ai Kayano as Akari Kawamoto, Kana Hanazawa as Hinata Kawamoto and Misaki Kuno as Momo Kawamoto.

The original manga series from Chika Umino began back in 2007 and has won several awards over the years.

Plot concept: The protagonist is Rei, a 17-year-old shogi player. He lives by himself, does not have a family, does not go to school, and has scarcely any friends. Among his acquaintances is a family, which consists of a young woman, Akari, and two young girls, Momo and Hinata, and who also keep a numerous number of cats.
