DC Comics Talks New ‘Super Sons’ Series

2 min read

Super SonsD Comics brought out a new series this week that’s definitely fun with Super Sons as it focuses on the lives of the current Robin and Superboy characters and how they’re trying to figure out their path in the shadows of their famous fathers. To help bring out a good look at it and personalize the release a bit, the publisher has a pretty good four-minute interview piece with Spanish illustrator Jorge Jimenez where we get to see a lot of the panels from within it. Plus, it’s just great to see Jimenez’s studio and discovering a great sized Goku statue there from Dragon Ball Z. The piece alsl gives us a look at the new action figures that are coming for them that are getting some attention at the upcoming Toy Fair event.

Plot concept: “When I grow up” part one! The sons of Batman and Superman have graduated to their own monthly comic-but if they want to survive, they’re going to have to share it! Writer Peter J. Tomasi (BATMAN & ROBIN, SUPERMAN) teams with rising-star artist Jorge Jimenez (EARTH 2) to bring you the adventures of the World’s Smallest. This debut issue looks at the lives of Robin and Superboy and their destiny to follow in their fathers’ footsteps, while we meet a new villain whose ascension parallels the boys’ own understanding of their powers-except that he believes it’s his right to rule over every being on the planet!
