Piacevole hasn’t quite captured me with its tone, especially with Nanase being such a fast talker to get everything into each episode, but I’m enjoying its culinary aspects and overall presentation. Though they may talk fast there’s a welcome relaxed atmosphere to things, mostly through the music, that makes it enjoyable. With this episode, we get some talk of the different types of cuisine and why there’s a distaste for Italian here, which has Nanase trying to understand it. Things move toward some fun and upbeat aspects when the sangria begins to flow, however, and there’s a lot of silliness to be had with that as it progresses. I do like that we get to see Nanase really taking an interest in everything and being a proper advocate for the past and effort put into it, but it also feels like it rings just a bit hollow coming from her at this early stage.

In Summary:
Piacevole does some good stuff here once again but it’s also just a bit problematic in how Nanase is a bit too on top of things considering her age and newness to it all. We get some decent backstory on the culinary side here and some fun silliness when it comes to the sangria. I do like the bit with Nanase getting all superior with everyone and realizing she takes it too far but she at least shows some passion.
