‘Teen Titans: The Judas Contract’ Trailer Arrives As Film Gets PG-13 Rating

2 min read

Teen Titans Judas ContractWith the release of Justice League Dark in its digital form, the bonus materials are there and one of the things included is a look at the next project coming out with Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. The feature was one that was kicking around for years and was planned as the third film that would have been out in 2009 but ended up shelved. This edition is directed by Sam Liu based on the screenplay by Ernie Altbacker and J.M. DeMatteis working off of the original work. I’ll leave it to those that are far more enmeshed in the original work to talk about how well the updates are here but I’m just glad to see Terra and Raven getting some solid time here!

The cast includes Stuart Allan as Damian Wayne / Robin, Taissa Farmiga as Raven, Brandon Soo Hoo as Garfield Logan / Beast Boy, Jake T. Austin as Jaime Reyes / Blue Beetle, Kari Wahlgren as Koriand’r / Starfire, Sean Maher as Dick Grayson / Nightwing, Christina Ricci as Terra and Miguel Ferrer as Deathstroke.

Originally running in Tales of the Teen Titans from issue 42 through 44 plus the third annual, it was one of the more talked about stories from the 1980′s from Marv Wolfman and George Perez.

Original Concept: They were Earth’s teenage defenders–unbeatable and unstoppable. Riding high, they took an eighth member–a young girl–into their ranks. She was their downfall. From the retirement of Robin and Kid Flash, to the birth of Nightwing and the introduction of Jericho, to the ultimate betrayal of a Titan–”The Judas Contract” still has fans talking today!
