First ‘Luck & Logic’ Dubbed Anime Trailer Arrives

Luck & Logic Header 2-4Funimation revealed the home video release plans for Luck & Logic back in December with the show set for a March 28th, 2017 release as a DVD/BD combo pack and brought the dub cast out not long after that. It’s taken a bit but we now have our first formal dubbed trailer for the show that has a spinoff sequel series coming out in Japan later this year. Funimation’s release is priced at $64.98 and lists the clean opening and closing sequences as its only extras at this point.

The series has Tyler Walker serving as the ADR director working with assistant ADR director Aaron Dismuke on the project. The English cast includes:

The series comes from original creator Septpia based n the overall composition and plan by Yuuya Takahashi. It’s set to be directed by Kouichi Chigiar along with assistant director Takashi Naoya. Kirin is handling the character designs based on the original work by Mari Shimazaki while Katsuzo Hirata is serving as the chief animation director. The opening theme song is STORY by Kensho Ono while the ending theme song is Meiyaku no Kanata by Emi Nitta.

The Japanese cast includes Kensho Ono as Yoshichika Tsurugi, Sumire Uesaka as Athena, Risa Taneda as Tamaki Yurine, Nao Touyama as Venus, Sora Tokui as Chloë Maxwell, Chiaki Omigawa as Valkyrie, Inori Minase as Mana Asuha, Fumiko Orikasa as Artemis, Risa Mizuno as Veronica Ananko, Izumi Kitta as Nemesis, Aimi Terakawa as Yukari Nanahoshi, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Olga Breakchild, Hozumi Gouda as Gennai Yaruno, Ai Kayano as Shiori Tsurugi, Kana Ueda as Pieri, Ryuu Nakatani as Quetzalcoatl, Suzuko Mimori as Logigraph and Kousuke Toriumi as Lucifer.

Plot concept: In the year L.C. 922, mankind faces an unprecedented crisis. Following the conclusion of a hundred-year war on the mythical world of Tetraheaven, the losing Majins sought a safe haven and invaded the human world Septpia. The government is forced is fight by employing Logicalists belonging to ALCA, a special police that protects the streets from foreigners of another world. Logicalists are given a special power that allows them to enter a trance with Goddesses from the other world.

One day, Yoshichika Tsurugi, a civilian who is lacking “Logic” and lives peacefully with his family, meets the beautiful goddess Athena while helping people escape from a Majin attack. She wields the “Logic” that Yoshichika that should have been lost. This leads Yoshichika to an unexpected destiny with Athena.

The future of the world depends on the “Luck” and “Logic” and these Logicalists.
