Japanese ‘Nameko: Sekai no Tomodachi’ Anime DVD Release Scheduled

NamekoMedia Factory has now set their plans for the short-form anime series Nameko: Sekai no Tomodachi with a home video release. The show, which kicked off in early 2016, is a three-minute per episode project that ran for twenty-six episodes. The series is getting a DVD-only release that arrives in full on March 24th, 2017 priced at 5,000 yen. It was directed by Hiroshi Watanabe based on the series composition by Natsuko Takahashi. Shingo Kawai worked on the character designs and it was animated by Studio Deen.

The Japanese cast includes Haruka Fukuhara as Nameko, Atsumi Tanezaki as Love Nameko, Kouki Miyata as Robo Nameko, Kunihiro Kawamoto as Nameko-senpai and Mayumi Iizuka as Perot.

Plot concept: Nameko Forest gathers nameko from all over the world. They form the Nameko Universal Ranger (NUR) to convey the charm of the forest. It’s an everyday life of inviting new nameko with unique personalities to the forests. What incident will happen today?
