The latest rankings have come in from Japan with what anime is selling on DVD and Blu-ray for the week ending January 22nd, 2017 and it’s another weak week. The top title this week is the second installment of Sound! Euphonium which comes in at 6,000 units on Blu-ray and 547 units on DVD, which makes sense as you want this in high quality form. The second week sales for Uta no Prince-sama with its first volume adds another 5,700 units which is definitely good and we get the debut of the Majestic Prince movie, which adds in 5,300 units on Blu-ray and 500 on DVD, which is about as expected. A lot of what we get are low number projects and previously released properties that are just adding a few more numbres to their totals, such as the One Piece Film: Gold and Kizumonogatari projects with a couple hundred more copies.
