2 min read

LoganJames Mangold stepped into the directors chair for The Wolverine back in 2013, a film that was already moved far along in production, but with Logan he’s now able to show something that’s more fully his. After getting a trailer previously that definitely set an interesting tone, Fox has now released the second one that expands on the younger character in it. Set for a March 3rd, 2017 release with a $127 million budget, the film adapts the comic book series Old Man Logan by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven. The film is (currently) listed as the final film for Jackman in this role after being in all previous nine installments of the X-Men franchise for Fox.

Directed by James Mangold, the film stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Richard E. Grant as Dr. Zander Rice, Boyd Holbrook as Donald Pierce, Stephen Merchant as Caliban and Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney.

Plot concept: Set in the future of 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan’s healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.
