Kaze Deutschland brought out the Episode of Merry special from the One Piece franchise back in August of 2016 and they’re just now bringing out the German dubbed trailer for it. The 30 euro Blu-ray release is one that came with the original Japanese language track and new German language dub in DTS-HD MA form along with German subtitles. The special aired back in August 2012 as a way to dig into the journeys of the ship and its a bit and serve as a jumping on and easy access point for potential new fans and a fun bit of flashback for longtime fans that have been watching since the first episode.
Plot concept: The story arcs aboard the Straw Hat Crew’s first ship Going Merry (Merry Go in some adaptations) are recreated with brand-new animation, from Luffy and Usopp’s fight and Robin’s disappearance to the crew’s final farewell to the ship. Going Merry is treated as another member of the Straw Hats as Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and the rest of the crew set sail for the legendary treasure, the One Piece.
