Japanese ‘One Room’ Blu-ray Anime Release Scheduled

2 min read

one-room-visualThe winter 2017 anime series One Room has its home video plans set and it’s a pretty straightforward one for the property. The twelve episode series will be getting a single Blu-ray release on May 26th, 2017 priced at 6,264 yen. It’ll come with an unaired episode as well as the main extra. The project focuses on three stories that “develop in one room” that will be followed up in the spring with Room Mate: One Room side M that deals with the male characters. The series is one that looks to be operating from a first person point of view, which we’ve seen from time to time with short-form shows, and could be an interesting project to dig into to see if it works well enough.

The Japanese cast includes M.A.O as Yui Hanasaka, Rie Murakawa as Natsuki Momohara and Suzuko Mimori as Moka Aojima.

The series has Yasuhiro Okuda handling the character design adaptations and it’s all based on the original story plan by Eiji Mano with Takashi Sakuma serving as the general producer. It’s being aniamted at Typhoon Graphics.

Plot concept: Series of shorts that will tell stories of “three sisters raised in your (one) room.”
