kenka-banchou-visualA new short-form anime series was announced last month for the spring season with an adaptation of Kenka Banchou Otome that will use the subtitle of Girl Beats Boy. While we’ve got a bit to go before it debuts, the first promotional video has arrived from the official channel for the project. While there’s no dialogue to it and just a hard score to give it some intensity, it does provide a decent look at the anime style for it. The property will be adapting from the game as it uses the same characters and adds new ones with a planned ten-minute running time per episode. The series is being directed by Tokuaki Saitou based on the series composition by Natsuko Takahashi. Majiro is on board as the character designer with Project No. 9 and A-Real handling the animation.

The game cast that’s coming over for it includes:

  • KENN as Totomaru Minowa
  • Shouta Aoi as Takayuki Konparu
  • Yoshimasa Hosoya as Rintarou Kira
  • Tetsuya Kakihara as Yuuta Mirako
  • Tomoaki Maeno as Houou Onigashima
  • Tsubasa Yonaga as Hikaru Onigashima
  • Takashi Kondou as Haruo Sakaguchi

Love Desire will be handling both the opening and closing themes with “Love Sniper” and “Gankou Signal.”

Game concept: The original game is about an orphan named Hinako Nakayama who was picked up by a twin brother. She has to attend all-boys school full of yankees named Private Shishiku Gakuen for him. In this adaptation, the heroine can join the quarrel battle, which is different from most of the otome games.
