After bringing out the first and second series for Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan previously on DVD and Blu-ray, Kaze France is now moving onto the next phase of taking the two halves of each season and boxing them up and pricing them down some. Up first is the first season of the series, which saw release back in the first half of 2015, where it’s now getting separate DVD and Blu-ray complete collections that will land on February 8th, 2017. The set will be in both French and Japanese for the languages with French subtitles available as well. The Blu-ray is priced at 70 euro while the DVD is at 60 euro.
Viz Media released the show in North America in bilingual form as well as the manga, which finished at twenty-five volumes back in 2012 from original creator Hiroshi Shiibashi.
Property concept: Rikuo Nura is an average middle school student by day… and a yokai by night. Not just any yokai, either – he’s the grandson of Nurarihyon, the Supreme Commander of the Nura Clan! Rikuo wants to live a normal life; however, his grandfather wants him to succeed as the rightful heir. When an inter-clan conflict threatens the stability within their organization, Rikuo must decide whether he will live his life as a human or accept his yokai heritage.
