Woody Harrelson Boards ‘Han Solo’ Anthology Film

2 min read

han-solo-logoWith the title character of Han Solo having been set previously with Alden Ehrenreich and then having Donald Gloverboard the project to take on the role of Lando Calrissian, our excitement only grows after Rogue One. While we’re waiting to see if the character of Sana Solo makes it into the film or if this predates it or just plays around it and a look at Ehrenreich in the role, a new piece of casting has arrived with the addition of Woody Harrelson. This was rumored recently with him supposedly boarding as a mentor of sorts to the lead character. No confirmation on his role was provided, though the official Star Wars site did comment with a word from the directors.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” said Lord and Miller. “His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.”The new anthology film still doesn’t have a formal name, though that might be getting closer as casting is getting further underway.

Plot concept: This new film depicts Lando in his formative years as a scoundrel on the rise in the galaxy’s underworld — years before the events involving Han, Leia, and Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back and his rise to Rebel hero in Return of the Jedi.
