The winter 2017 short-form anime series Ai Mai Mi – Surgical Friends has found itself a simulcast home as expected as Crunchyroll is streaming the series after doing the same for the first two seasons. The show kicked off its run today with episodes going live every Tuesday at 11:30am ET for members worldwide outside of Asia. The season is being directed by Itsuki Imazaki at studio Seven for Dream Creation.
The Japanese cast includes Aya Uchida, Maaya Uchida, Yuka Otsubo, Ai Kayano as Ponoka, Neeko as Chobo-sensei, Sayaka Nakaya as Nanako, Ayane Sakura as Sachie, Mirai Sasaki as Chōjirō and Seitarō Mukai as other roles.
Plot concept: The loveable manga club girls are back! Ai, Mai, Mii, and Ponoka-senpai who might be fighting evil invaders threatening Earth, facing off against rivals in tournaments, and dealing with other absurd situations when they are not drawing manga!
