We’ve still got about two months to go until the February 24th, 2017 debut of the Lupin the Third: Goemon Ishikawa’s Spray of Blood in theaters in Japan but the home video side is already being set up. The feature film is now scheduled for a May 26th, 2017 debut where it’ll be getting both limited and regular edition DVD and Blu-ray releases. We’ve also got a look at the limited edition packaging below.

The film will be directed by Takeshi Koike based on a screenplay from Yuuya Takahashi. With Telecom Animation Film producing the animation, TMS Entertainment and Showgate are handling its release.
Plot concept: The film tells the story of how Lupin and Jigen became partners. The two undertake a heist in a fortified country, and Jigen’s life is threatened by a skilled sniper.
