The Review:
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
While short-form shows tend to run a single cour and that’s it, this one looks like it’s up for two and that makes us really happy. Chidori’s mission to take over the enemy castle with just twenty people is a difficult mission to be sure and one even she’s not certain she can pull off. That they basically work a front door approach is even more comical since they basically look simple and innocent enough and are let in by the guards, which results in a lot of bloodshed and violence all around, which is hilarious in how it’s presented since Chidori looks so intense and nervous at the same time. Hanbee certainly provides a lot of help even as he does all of this so he can retire.
In Summary:
The pairing of Chidori and Hanbee has definitely been a favorite for me with what it does as they play off of each other well with their personalities. This episode works a good bit of action to it and that continues to simply feel very weird when taken in context to the cuteness of the show in general, yet it manages to work in its own strange way. There’s a lot going on in this episode and just the nod at the end that there’s more coming makes us smile pretty damn big.
