2 min read

ghost-in-the-shell-posterParamount revealed the first full and formal trailer for the Ghost in the Shell film back in November and things are continuing to move forward with the promotion for it. The latest is a new piece in Empire magazine that has revealed a new visual of Scarlett Johansson. It also comes with a few words from the actress and the director, which said:

“I’ve been a person without a body, now I’m a mind in a synthetic body,” she says. “Eventually I’ll go back to playing a body and brain together. This is a ride that’s not just explosive and exciting, but also curious and reflective.”

Director Rupert Sanders comments that this take on Ghost in the Shell, “isn’t the shit Hollywood version.”

Interest in the film is certainly mixed among the hardcore and longtime fans but it’s an area that one hopefully will see various segments attempt to market well as the manga publishers should be getting new editions ready to slide into bookstores for the holidays to seed interest.
