Funimation brought out the first season of Show By Rock back on December 6th, 2016 and they’re continuing to bring out some new clips for it. This one is a fun one as it gives us some time with Cyan performing with Bryan Apprill in the leading role. Priced at $64.98, the set will be a bilingual dual-format release with extras that include Episode Commentaries, Textless Opening Songs, Textless Closing Songs, Band Promo Videos, Promo Videos, Series Promo Videos, Blu-ray & DVD Release CM and Series Spot CM.
The first season was directed by Takahiro Ikezoe based on scripts by Touko Machida and character designs by Masaru Ohshiro. The series is being animated by Bones. FUNimation picked up the North American rights and simulcast the series.
The series is based on the project by Sanrio that has had an iOS rhythm game out so far that stars Eri Inagawa, Sumire Uesaka and Ayane Sakura in the primary position. It also has other bands included in it, with more to be announced. The ones announced so far include Mamoru Miyano Shuzo, Ryota Ohsaka as Kai and Ayumu Murase as Riku and Megumi Han as Daru Dayu, Eriko Matsui as A and Saori Hayami as Un and Kishô Taniyama as Crow, Kouki Uchiyama as Aeon, Tetsuya Kakihara as Yaiba and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Rom. Criticrista includes Rina Hidaka as Logia, Ai Kayano as Tsukino, Rie Murakawa as Jacqueline and Hiromi Igarashi as Holmy.
The series has Caitlin Glass serving as the ADR director for it working off of the scripts from Rachel Robinson and Mike McFarland and lyrics for the English language songs by Brina Palencia and Vic Mignogna. The cast for the show includes Bryn Apprill as Cyan, Alexis Tipton as Chuchu, Caitlin Glass as Retoree, Monica Rial as Moa, Vic Mignogna as SYU☆ZO, Ricco Fajardo as Kai, Micah Solusod as Riku, Mike McFarland as Crow, Jerry Jewell as Aion, Ian Sinclair as Yaiba, Chris Sabat as Rom, Sonny Strait as Maple, Rachel Robinson as Angelica and Justin Cook as Strawberry Heart.
