We’ve got a couple of weeks to go until the theatrical premiere in North America for the One Piece Film: Gold that’s coming from Funimation and they’ve now seeded the anticipation with another clip. The film is definitely a visual delight that will look amazing on the big screen compared to the home video release that will be coming so we definitely recommend getting out to see it if you’re able to. Funimation is planning for a January 10th through the 17th debut in 2017 for the work in the US and Canada with details to come in the next few weeks.
With the movie in theaters in Japan this past summer, the TV side complemented it with the One Piece: Heart of Gold special to connect the two works. The special was directed by Tatsuya Nagamine based on the screenplay by Tsutomu Kuroiwa.
