Three More Board ‘Star Trek: Discovery’

Star Trek 2017The casting continues for Star Trek: Discovery as the show has to get filming very soon to meet its spring debut on the CBS All Access platform. The project has three  new additions to the mix to flesh out the series now as we get some Klingons added to the stable of characters. The three involved are Chris Obi as T’Kuvma, Shazad Latif as Kol and Mary Chieffo as L’rell. According to  EW, the character are described as: T’Kuvma (Obi), a leader seeking to unite the Klingon houses; Kol (Latif), a Klingon Commanding Officer and protege of T’Kuvma; and L’Rell (Chieffo), the Battle Deck Commander of a Klingon ship.

Previous casting includes Michelle Yeoh’s role as she’ll be playing Captain Georgiou, the Starfleet Captain aboard the Starship Shenzhou, Doug Jones as Lr. Saru and Anthony Rapp as Lt. Stamens.

Alex Kurtzman will serve as executive producer for the new Star Trek TV series. Kurtzman and Heather Kadin will serve as executive producers. Bryan Fuller is on board as showrunner, co-creator and executive producer and Nicholas Meyer is working on some of the scripts.
