‘Uchiage Hanabi, Shita kara Miru ka? Yoko kara Miru ka?’ Live-Action Film Getting Anime Adaptation

uchiage-hanabi-fireworks-visualOriginally done as a live-action film back in 1995, Uchiage Hanabi, Shita kara Miru ka? Yoko kara Miru ka?, which is localized as Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?, is now on track for an anime adaptation. The project is planned for an August 18th, 2017 theatrical bow. With Genki Kawamuras producting, Akiyuki Shinbou is serving as the chief director with Nobuyuki Takeuchi serving as the hands-on director. The scripts from from Satoru Mosaki with animation by Shaft.

The main cast has been revealed with:

  • Suzu Hirose as Nazuna Oikawa
  • Masaki Suda as Norimichi Shimada
  • Mamoru Miyano as Yuusuke Azumi

Plot Concept: Schoolchildren Norimichi, Yuusuke, and Junichi want to know if fireworks look round or flat from the side. They make a plan to find the answer at a fireworks display, while Nazuna schemes to run away with Norimichi or Yuusuke, whoever wins at the pool.
