P.A. Works is gearing up for their next original series with plans for Sakura Quest to premiere as part of the spring 2017 season in April. The new project has revealed its official site which provided the key visual to the right along with the staff and cast as well as a clear concept. The show is based on the original work by Alexandre S. D. Celibidache that’s being directed by Souichi Masui based on the series composition from Masahiro Yokotani. Kanami Sekiguchi is handling the character designs based on the original work by BUNBUN.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Ayaka Nanase as Yoshino Koharu
- Reina Ueda as Shiori Shinomiya
- Chika Anzai as Maki Midorikawa
- Chiemi Tanaka as Ririko Oribe
- Mikako Komatsu as Sanae Kouzuki
Plot concept: In the wake a nationwide movement during the Bubble economy period, a small town in the countryside has revived its “mini-nation” tourism program; hiring five girls as travel ambassadors. The series will follow a year’s time of the five girls as they work in the tourism agency of a small failing town in an effort to reinvigorate it.
