Second ‘Kado: The Right Answer’ Anime Trailer Arrives With Premiere Plans

KadoAnnounced in November 2015 as part of its corporate strategy meeting and presentation, Toei Animation has the original feature film Sekaisuru Kado, which translates as Kado: The Right Answer coming up. With a teaser trailer out recently, the company has now put out an updated one at the Tokyo Comic Con this weekend that reveals that the project will debut in April 2017 with a firm date and more plans to come soon.

Details are still light on the property as the series staff hasn’t been fully revealed in terms of positions, but it includes novelist Mado Nozaki along with director Kazuya Murata alongside illustrator Ako Arisaka.

Plot concept: The story follows the protagonist Kojiro Shindo, who is a shrewd negotiator at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. When his passenger aircraft is taking off from the Haneda airport, a mysterious giant cube suddenly appears in the sky. After growing bigger rapidly, it swallows the airplane with 252 passengers. The name of the cube is “Kado.” A mysterious person (?) Yaha-Kui Zashunina who comes out of Kado tries to make contact with human race, and Shindo in the cube has to work as a mediator between human and Yaha-Kui Zashunina. Meanwhile, Japanese Government also sends international negotiator Saraka Tsukai into Kado as their representative. Who is Yaha-Kui Zashunina, and what is his true purpose?
