‘Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Sword Oratoria’ Anime Adaptation Scheduled

Sword Oratoria HeaderGA Bunko revealed way back in March 2016 that the side story novel series Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Sword Oratoria will be getting an anime adaptation. It’s been light in details ever since and still is to a good degree, but expect that to change soon. According to an update on the GA Bunko site, the project is being planned for an April 2017 premiere as part of the spring season.

The light novel series kicked off back in 2014 and has seven volumes out as of this month while a manga adaptation kicked off later that same year, seeding the overall marketing saturation for it beyond just the core series.

This light novel series was also picked up recently by Yen Press for localization with the first volume released in 2016

Plot concept: Aiz Wallenstein, the Sword Princess, is known as one of the most powerful warriors from one of the most powerful groups in the city of Orario: Loki Familia.

With them, she ventures into the deepest parts of the labyrinthine Dungeon beneath the city, stalking the monstrous denizens that lurk there and vanquishing them with the blazing light of her sword. But when she meets a certain white-haired boy, the encounter will change both of them forever…
