The latest rankings have come in from Japan with what’s selling there and it’s no surprise to see the Love Live! Sunshine third volume taking the top spot. It is underperforming significantly from past iterations, almost 20% down on opening week sales, but the property moves so much in other quadrants with merchandise and music that you can see the animation side taking the hit – but hoping that they realize they coasted far too much with this season. This week has some good stuff hitting as we see the first Strike the Blood II OVA arriving for just under 7,200 units on Blu-ray, while the newest Re Zero hits just over 6,600 units. There are some decent sales here all told considering the limited market of consumers and the pricing.
