amagi-brilliant-park-le-box-jp-headerWhile Sentai Filmworks is set to bring out their box set edition of Amagi Brilliant Park with a regular and collector’s edition in February, Kadokawa revealed last month that the first box set for the series is coming out in Japan just a bit before that. Scheduled to arrive on January 27th, 2017, the 28,000 yen box set will be a pretty good one – that comes with English subtitles. Kadokawa has now brought out their first commercial announcement for the release which gives us just a taste of the fun of the show itself. The set will come with everything from the single disc run lpus a new CD audio drama, new commentary, and what looks like new bonus footage.

The anime adaptation comes from Kyoto Animation as it deals with the light novel by Shoji Gatoh. Yasuhiro Takemoto is directing the series, which marks a pretty good return in a way since he previously directed two Full Metal Panic series and recently worked on shows like Hyouka for Kyoto Animation.

The series stars Kouki Uchiyama as Seiya Kanie, Ai Kakuma as Isuzu Sento, Yukiyo Fujii as Latifah Fullanza, Shiori Mikami as Kobori, Ryoko Shiraishi as Macaron, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Sylphy, Ayako Kawasumi as Moffle, Yuka Aisaka as Muse, Minami Tsuda as Salama and Ai Nonaka as Tirami.

Plot concept: The story centers around a high school student Seiya Kanie. On a Sunday, a mysterious transfer student who carries a musket gun Isuzu Sento takes him to an old and deserted amusement park Amagi Brilliant Park in Amagi-city, which is located in the western part of Tokyo. He is told that if the park can’t attract 100,000 visitors in the next two weeks, it will be closed immediately. For some reason, Seiya has to save the park as an acting manager.
