TOHO is handling the marketing for the fall 2016 anime series Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru and are hitting the various quadrants pretty well. After bringing out several spots recently for the first and second song collections, they’ve now followed it up with two more of them that highlights the third one that’s set to land on November 9th, 2016 and our first look at the fourth one due out on November 23rd, 2016.
This series was animated by Doga Kobo and was directed by Takashi Naoya from the scripts by Pierre Sugiura while Junichiro Taniguchi worked on the character designs.
The Japanese cast includes Mitsuhiro Ichiki as Yasusada Yamatonokami, Toshiki Masuda as Kiyomitsu Kashu., Daiki Yamashita as Imanotsurugi, Reona Irie as Toushirou Maeda, Tarusuke Shingaki as Heshikiri Hasebe, Junji Majima as Aoe Nikkari, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Kotetsu Hachisuka, Kento Hama as Yoshiyuki Mutsunoka, Soma Saito as Toushirou Hamazuo and Kaito Ishikawa as Kanesada Kasen.
The game itself kicked off in January 2015 and was developed by Nitroplus and DMM Games.
Plot concept: The year is 2205. The “historical revisionists” have begun attacks on the past in their plot to change history. The Saniwa, who have been charged with protecting history, can imbue life into objects. Strongest among these are the Tōken Danshi. The story centers around their cheerful lives.
