The latest rankings have arrived out of Japan for the home video releaseas as of the week ending October 30th, 2016 and it’s a bit surprising. While some dropoff is expected with subsequent volumes of a series, especially one that opens high, the second volume of Love Live! Sunshine!! is about half of what the first volume did, which really doesn’t make too much sense. It’s still a great week compared to the last few where we’re seeing sales struggle to break 2,000 units. THe latest Case Closed movie does 25,000 on Blu-ray and another 34,000 on DVD through the two editions there and we see that the first Zaregoto release hits a solid 13,000 units in its debut. There’s a lot to like here as the top ten are alla bove 4,000 and the top 18 are all about 2,000 units.
