Nazotokine gave us a bit of an idea of what kind of formula it’s going to work as the previous episode didn’t focus entirely on Tokine in her virtual world solving puzzles. Giving her time to get out with coworkers and the like helps to showcase more of who she is so we feel a bit more investment when we get to the actual puzzle itself. That the puzzle can bring other people into it, in a sense, though the way it operates added a neat layer to it as we saw the last time and a new challenge for Tokine to think about as well. The structure of the series still feels weird and off in an ill-defined way, but it’s slowly coming together.

With the fate of the commuters tied to her at this point, there’s some fun in her trying to figure out the pattern and way to solve it based on the minimal amount of information that’s available. Unlike the first puzzle that was very easy to solve, this one works a bit more complicated for a non-native speaker with the way it’s language based and Tokine struggles with it as well. Admittedly, that kind of just gets me to tune out a bit and just enjoy her struggle and working against the clock to figure it all out since I was in no way going to be able to figure out the answers to it, especially with the wordplay that’s involved.

In Summary:
The second puzzle is worked through here and it’s fun in its own way even if you’re not going to be too deep into it. The show does spend some time outside of the puzzle toward the end, offering up a lot more fanservice and sexuality than I expected for the series with Tokine laid out on her bed, but it just adds to the weird nature of the show in how it’s not clear what it is that it wants to be. Which is interesting to watch in a semi-trainwreck kind of way..
