Final ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin’ Anime Highlights Opening Song With New Promo

2 min read

Gundam Origin Eve of Fate VisualWith a heavy focus on the bigger moments of this release, a really great piece has now arrived for the fourth and final installment of the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin series. With the subtitle of Eve of Destiny, the new two-minute promo provides us with a great look at the episode while highlighting the opening theme song in a big way. It has some really classic overtones to it and I felt like it was riffing on the Dune score just a touch.

The theatrical release land at select theaters in Japan for two weeks on November 19th, 2016, and we’ll end up getting the home video release not long after that. With that in mind, the Bandai Channel has now released a new (region locked) trailer for it below that we’ve gotten through other sources.

Similar to past theatrical runs, fans in attendance will be able to get the Collector’s Edition of the feature at the theater for 10,000 yen.

Animated at Sunrise, the series is directed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and Takashi Imanishi with Hiroyuki Nishimura serving as the chief animation director based on the manga by Yasuhiko.

Plot concept: The four-episode project will tell the story of Casval Rem Deikun and Artesia Som Deikun (Char and Sayla, before Char became known as the Red Comet) before the One-Year War in UC.0068.
