The summer 2016 anime series 91 Days is having its home video release plans handled by Shochiku and they’ve set up a solid run for it. With the first volume arriving today in Japan on October 26th, 2016, Shochiku has put out two new promotional videos for it that provides an extended look at some of the set pieces and the music. The first clocks in at two minutes while the second at a minute and a half. The series is getting a seven-volume release that begins on October 26th, 2016 where the Blu-ray’s are priced at 6,800 yen each and the DVDs at 5,800 yen.
The project aired on MBS as part of their Animeism block. The series was directed by Hiro Kaburaki based on the series composition from Taku Kishimoto and character designs from Tomohiro Kishi. Studio Shuka handled the animation.
The cast includes Takashi Kondou as Avolio, Takuya Eguchi as Nero, Daisuke Ono as Vanno, Soma Saito as Corteo, Kenjirou Tsuda as Fango, Koutarou Nishiyama as Frate, Yuuichi Nakamura as Ronaldo, Takahiro Sakurai as Barbero and Kazuhiro Yamaji as Vincento.
The opening theme song is by TK while the ending theme is “Rain or Shine” by ELISA.
Plot concept: His name is Nero, the man who will someday become a mafia boss. He is also the target of revenge by Avilio, whose family was murdered. In order to carry out his revenge, Avilio will have to kill his friend.
