As I continue to make my way through the excellent Luke Cage series, Netflix and Marvel brought out a new trailer for the next series due out next year with Iron Fist. Scheduled for a March 17th, 2017 debut, the new piece gives us a very good look at the action, makes note of him as the last Defender, and showcases some of the more visible aspects of his powers – which is a contrast to how the other Defenders operate.
Scott Buck of Dexter and Six Feet Under fame came on board as showrunner and executive producer on the series back in December. Finn Jones will be playing Danny Rand, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum and Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachu,
Plot concept: Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.
