Crunchyroll Adds ‘March Comes in Like a Lion’ For Fall 2016 Anime Lineup

March Comes in like a Lion VisualAniplex USA picked up the rights to the anime adaptation of 3-gatsu no Lion, aka March Comes in Like a Lion, and they’ve now set some additional streaming for it. The show is set to debut on October 8th, 2016 and Crunchyroll will be streaming the series to their members in North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Ireland. The series has Akiyuki Shinbou directing it at Shaft with Nobuhiro Sugiyama as the character designer, Yasuhiro Nakura working on the art setting with Seiki Tamura as art director while Toshiki Kameyama is handling sound direction. Yukari Hashimoto is handling the music for the series.

The Japanese cast includes Nobuhiko Okamoto as Harunobu Nikaido, Kengo Kawanishi as Rei Kiriyama, Ai Kayano as Akari Kawamoto, Kana Hanazawa as Hinata Kawamoto and Misaki Kuno as Momo Kawamoto.

The opening theme song will be performed by BUMP OF CHICKEN and they’ll also be providing the ending theme song with the “Fighter” piece that they collaborated with on previously.

The original manga series from Chika Umino began back in 2007 and has won several awards over the years.

Plot concept: The protagonist is Rei, a 17-year-old shogi player. He lives by himself, does not have a family, does not go to school, and has scarcely any friends. Among his acquaintances is a family, which consists of a young woman, Akari, and two young girls, Momo and Hinata, and who also keep a numerous number of cats.
