New Extended ‘Escaflowne’ TV Anime Dub Clip Debuts

Escaflowne Part 1Excitement is definitely brewing as we’re getting closer to one of the bigger projects of the year from Funimation with the newly dubbed Vision of Escaflowne TV series and theatrical anime film. With a fun Kickstarter project earlier this year and some varied editions coming up when both releases debut on October 18th, 2016, they’ve now brought out a new nearly four-minute long clip from the beginning part of the first episode. This focuses on just a couple of characters but it definitely gives us another good idea of how these characters are going to be played.

The new English dub cast includes Aaron Dismuke as Van Fanel, Caitlin Glass as Hitomi, Alexis Tipton as Merle, Sonny Strait as Allen Schezar, Colleen Clinkenbeard as Millerna, Eric Vale as Dryden, Vic Mignogna as Folken, Felecia Angelle as Eriya, Michelle Rojas as Naria, Jeremy Schwartz as Dornkirk, Chris Guerrero as Balgus, Bryn Apprill as Chid, Chris Cason as Shesta, Chuck Hüber as Jajuka and Ian Sinclair as Gaddess.

Plot concept: High school student Hitomi is transported from Earth to the magical world of Gaea, where she meets boy prince Van Fanel, and is caught up in his quest to unite the countries of Gaea against the ominous Zaibach empire. On the way, she discovers a hidden ability and strives to unravel layers of mystery surrounding Van, his past, and the giant machine known as Escaflowne.
