The Rolling Girls HeaderWith the recent conclusion from Kaze Deutschland with the German release of The Rolling Girls, they’ve now put together a trailer for it that gives folks worldwide a chance to see how this adaptation feels.. After originally setting it as two releases that would begin on April 27th, they then shifted it to a May 27th release date. It later formalized to a three set release that arrived on April 29th, June 24th, and August 26th, 2016.

The  releases feature the original Japanese language as well as a new German language dub. They’re now be priced at 33.99 euro and 41.48 euro respectively.

You can read our review of the North American release from Funimation here.

The show comes from Wit Studio and it has some really appealing designs to it. The series Japanese cast includes Ari Ozawa as Nozomi Moritomo, Rina Hidaka as Yukina Kosaka, Risa Taneda as Ai Hibiki and Yumiri Hanamori as Aya Misonochi. The series premiered in Japan on January 10th, 2015.

Funimation’s produced a Broadcast Dub for English language fans whose cast includes Felicia Angelle as Nozomi, Monica Rial as Yukina, Jad Saxton as Ai, Leah Clark as Chiaya, Colleen Clinkenbeard as Masami, Jamie Marchi as Shigyo, Rachel Robinson as Haruka and Tyson Rinehart as Momiyama. The winter 2015 anime series set Colleen Clinkenbeard as the ADR director and Clifford Chapin as the assistant ADR director working off the dub script by Bonny Clinkenbeard, who is working off of the Japanese translation by Nita Lieu. That obviously won’t be included here.

Plot concept: Gun your engines and get ready for the full-throttle adventure of The Rolling Girls, the first original anime from the studio that brought you Attack on Titan! In the wake of the Great Tokyo War, Japan – as the world once knew it – no longer exists. What remains is a fragmented network of independent nations, each ruled by a prophet known as a Mosa. Every Mosa commands an army, or Mob, as they seek to conquer anyone in their path. Enter Nozomi, Yukina, Ai, and Chiaya. Together, these intrepid and adorable girls travel across battle-ravaged Japan, seeking to transform themselves – and their world!
