Viz Media has their next series up for sale for a week-long event with Basara, one of the bigger properties from when it ran throughout the nineties. Originally seriealized in Betsucomi, the book from Yumi Tamura ran for twenty-seven volumes between 1990 and 1998. It received a 13 episode anime adaptation from KSS back in 1998 but the anime itself has never been licensed overseas and the manga itself was on a slow burn release for some time, which Viz Media did complete as they released it between 2003 and 2008.

The full run is now on sale at ComiXology for $4.99 a volume as well as the Amazon Kindle versions for $4.49 a volume.

Plot concept: Basara is a post-apocalyptic fantasy adventure series and one of the most popular shôjo manga of the 90s in Japan. It is the story of how a young girl becomes “”the child of destiny”” and finds the strength to free her people and seek revenge for the death of her brother.
