Eleventh ‘Amanchu!’ Anime Episode Previewed

2 min read

amanchu-episode-11The summer 2016 anime series Amanchu! is moving right along and the promotion for it on a weekly basis is coming from Shochiku. They’ve now got a quick and cute look at the eleventh episode that’s scheduled to arrive on September 16th, 2016. The series is getting its simulcast by Crunchyroll in the United States (and its territories), Canada, Latin America (Central and South America including Caribbean), United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Netherlands.

The series has set Junichi Sato as the chief director with Kenichi Kasai doing the main directing working off of series composition by Deko Akao. Character designs are being handled by Youko Itou with animation produced at JC Staff.

The cast includes Eri Suzuki as Hikari Kohinata, Ai Kayano as Futaba Ooki, Saori Oonishi as Ai Ninomiya, Yuuichirou Umehara as Makoto Ninomiya, Shizuka Itou as Mato Katori, Yurika Kubo as Aria and Kikuko Inoue as Kino Kohinata.

Maaya Sakamoto will be involved with it as her song Million Clouds will be used as the opening theme song for the series. Sato and Sakamoto worked together most recently on the Tamayura series where she did the theme songs.

Plot concept: Hikari Kohinata is a cheerful 15-year-old girl who lives near the ocean and she spends much of her time diving as a result. On her first day of high school, she meets a teacher who also likes scuba diving. There’s also a 16-year-old classmate, Futaba, who gets dragged along in Hikari’s maelstrom as soon as they meet at school. Most of the manga so far details the relationship between the two girls, which quickly seems to move into romantic two girl friendship-territory.
