Viz Media has kicked off their latest manga sale through the digital side with ComiXology and Amazon discounting a number of books. This sale focuses on the 1993-2003 manga series From Far Away, which was created by Kyoko Hikawa. The full fourteen volume run is now on sale for $4.99 and $4.49 respectively on the two services compared to the $9.99 print run and the standard $6.99 digital price.
The property originally was serialized in the shojo magazine LaLa for ten years but never saw an anime adaptation or any spinoff works. In 2004, the manga won the 35th annual Seiun Award for best science fiction comic. Hikawa has numerous works to her name but this is the only one that was licensed and released domestically.
