Non Non Biyori Repeat Japanese Volume 5 HeaderSentai Filmworks has a bit to go before the DVD and Blu-ray editions of Non Non Biyori hits but they’ve now brought out the finalized packaging design for them. The second season of the series is scheduled for a November 8th, 2016 release from the distributor priced at $49.98 and $59.98 for the DVD and Blu-ray editions respectively.

Extras for the release include Dagashi; Commentaries; Cast Panel Video; Japanese Promos; Clean Opening Animation and the Clean Closing Animation.

The series was directed by Shinya Kawamo based on the overall composition by Reiko Yoshida who also wrote the scripts alongside Fumihiko Shimo and Yuka Yamada. Mai Otsuka returned as the character design and the project was animated at Silver Link.

Non Non Biyori Repeat is based on the manga by Atto that began in 2009 under Media Factory, which has nine volumes so far. Seven Seas Entertainment has the North American license for the manga while Sentai Filmworks previously licensed and released the first series.

Plot concept: Even though there are still only five students who attend the remote Asahigaoka Branch School, each one of the girls already has a lifetime of wonderful experiences in the carefree Japanese countryside. Some memories may belong to just one person, like Hotaru’s recollections of her first day in Asahigaoka before she’d had a chance to meet her new friends. Other memories bring an otherwise sleepy town to life for Komari, Natsumi, Renge, or even Suguru. From daily life in school, to unforgettable holiday festivities, or even simple adventures like learning how to make okonomiyaki, new adventures are just waiting to be shared as we return to Asahigaoka in NON NON BIYORI REPEAT!
