An original anime series called Idol Memories was announced with plans for it to be a fall 2016 show from game developer Happy Elements back in early July and the updates keep rolling. The official channel has now cute loose with some good information as the premiere has been scheduled for an October 2nd, 2016 date. Additionally, we get a two-minute promo that showcases more of the series and the group within it known as StarRing and we also get a 45-second spot to promote the opening theme song itself. Katsuya Kikuchi set to direct it based on the scripts by Hiroshi Oonogi and character designs by Reina Okuyama. The series will be animated by Seven Arcs Pictures, who works on Dog Days, Trinity Seven and Mushibugyo among others.
The main cast includes Moe Toyota as Vivi Lin, Marika Hayase as Sena Hattori, Yuu Kimura as Kokona Hayakawa, Mayu Sagara as Miku Kajiwara, Ruriko Aoki as Yucho La and Riko Kohara as Nanami Hoshi.
Plot concept: In the near future where Idols are active in the space of virtual reality, two units from the Shiritsu Kanon Gakuen, which are currently ranking down, are aiming for the top of idol league! Who will be getting the honorable tiara?
