What They Say:
Fuuka is an amnesiac. As she wanders through the unfamiliar town, she realizes that she’s being chased. It’s one of the mafia families running the town — the Oz family — that saves her. In a town where friendship and fighting exist together, Fuuka must decide who’s hand to accept. And then there’s the question: why doesn’t she remember anything?

After the chaos of the attack the last time around, school’s off since the campus is pretty much a wasteland after the violence there. For Scarlet, he ends up heading to the nurse’s’ office to find his teacher only to discover a lion in the bed there. This turns to some silly fun since Scarlet hears Caramia’s voice within him and thinks he got eaten as opposed to transformed into this. Of course, other teachers have gone through surreal transitions themselves as we get a parody of Wizard of Oz through it that’s certainly cute, especially with Kyrie’s design. All of this goes into the powers that this trio has, which I’m assuming is something related to the game that we haven’t had to deal with here, so it’s a kind of weird bit of silliness.
While we get a bit with the episode title about donuts at the very end, which is mostly meaningless anyway, most of the show is just about the weirdness and mild humor of the Oz-like nature of some of the characters when they transform through their power. Scarlet’s reactions are cute and fun and I like the visual design of it all but in the end it’s another episode that reinforces that the show really isn’t all that accessible to those not involved in the game itself, which is unfortunate as it could have been a good gateway for some.
